The head of state traveled to meet with Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he engaged with fighters at the command post of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is managing protective maneuvers in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately 20km from Pokrovsk.

Volatile Conditions in the Region

Geospatial data from a Ukrainian project showed that opposition armies had pushed further into Pokrovsk and its environs, though much of it was not fully held by either side. The situation remains critical, with updates indicating that invading units were digging in and enhancing fortifications in various sectors.

Russian forces are pushing forward in the Pokrovsk sector and appear to be operating with growing ease within Pokrovsk itself.

Military experts noted that national troops had freed a large area of a opposition incursion in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk effort.

Kyiv's Long-Range Assaults Inside Russia

Kyiv's aerial vehicles attacked an industrial plant approximately 1,300km inside Russian territory at Sterlitamak. City administration confirmed a blast at the Sterlitamak facility that caused its water treatment facility to suffer damage, adding that the cause of the explosion was not known. The armed forces leadership stated there was significant destruction to the plant.

Defense units said it struck a petroleum facility at Kstovo in the federal district to the east of the capital. The degree of impact was being assessed. The local official confirmed an attack by 20 drones near the area.

Russian Security Legal Adjustments

Defense force members will now have to protect fuel facilities against aerial attacks after the president signed a law on Tuesday increasing their involvement in the conflict.
